During our trailer, we need to include our film production logo as this is an obvious convention of film trailers. I researched into film company logos:
And these were the first two logos that were shown. We thought that as our film is in the genre of Psychological Thriller, we did not want the logo to be too colourful or too complex as this can be too much associated with the mainstream film companies. Furthermore, it contrasts too much with the action of the film.
I then research 'Thriller film production company logos':
I thought that this design of logo is much more suited to the genre of our trailer and thought that the simplicity of colours used and the design is much more effective for the Psychological Thriller genre.
Therefore, when designing our production company logo, we will focus on using a black background with bold, white writing which will say "Dissimulation Productions". This is because it will be following the conventions of the thriller production company logos and it will suit the action of our trailer.
