Filming: Day 1

First Day of Filming

On the 12th January we began the production for our trailer. We went to Alexandra Gibsons grandparent's house where they had a simplistic spare bedroom that we thought would compliment the temperaments of our main character. We rearranged the room in order to make it minimalistic which included removing paintings and changing the bedding and laying out dust sheets to place equipment on. We began production at 10am and started filming at around 11am, as setting up took time, as well as briefing our actress. We had to assemble a jib as well as a panel light. In order to make the room appear as night time, with dull light we covered the windows with black drapes to block all natural daylight. We filmed from 11am to 12:30pm and achieved all the shots that took place in this set. We took turns in directorial roles as well as camera work. Someone would direct the camera movement, and the other would direct the actor, and lastly someone was operating the camera. We found this was the best way to divide the roles so that we were always being proactive. Below are some pictures of the set and the production.
