Health and Safety Concerns When Filming
When filming, we had to think of multiple health and safety issues and ways to resolve them. We planned all of these before hand, but encountered some problems along the way and had to decide what to do there and then, for example our actress becoming ill.
Firstly, we had to make sure that all of our actresses were safe in the locations. At all of our long filming sessions with our actress, Felicity, we made sure that she had regular supply of drinks and snacks.
For some shots, we took our actress, Felicity outside. Baring in mind it is very cold at the moment, we made sure that our actress had a warm dressing gown on and comfortable shoes on between shots. When we began rolling, we would take the dressing down and shoes off of her, and when we had the shot, we would quickly wrap her up warm again. To further ensure the comfort of our actress, we supplied her with warm drinks throughout this filming occasion. We also ensured that we did not spend too long outside, and we didn't take any unnecessary shots.
In the shower scene of our trailer, we required our actress to get in the shower wearing a bikini. In order to ensure her comfort, we had loads of towels available, and allowed her to use a hair dryer before leaving to ensure that she didn't get cold.
During our Filming process, we had a health concern of our actress Felicity as she came down with a flu-like illness. In order to ensure all of our well-being as well as hers, we postponed filming with her until the following week.
It is notable that in order to get to and from filming locations, we often travelled in Emili Hone and Melissa Owens cars. In order to ensure health and safety on the way to our filming, we all followed normal procedures of wearing seatbelts and driving carefully.
