What is a Psychological Thriller?

We want to make something exciting, something disturbing. 

As a group, we have chosen to do a Psychological Thriller, as a sub-genre of Thriller. A Psychological Thriller is a genre that relies on the characters to challenge eachother mentally. The suspense comes with the demolition of characters emotional states.

We brainstormed idea’s, and decided that we wanted to make a trailer that centered around the ill mental state of a young girl. We also wanted to somehow include the current idea of ‘Catfishing’ on the internet, a phenomena that has recently become exposed.

Our inspiration to do this genre lay in the fact that it plays on the unstable emotional states of characters, complemented by mystery and thriller. This fits with our idea’s perfectly.
